The vast majority of our agreements are all contingency based. If we don’t do our job, we shouldn’t get paid. For direct hire recruiting, we charge market rates, which is a touchy subject with our advisors. Since we are a boutique firm providing a very tailored process, they feel the fee structure should increase. But we believe this is how staffing should be and all the other staffing agencies are simply priced too high for the mediocre service they provide.
There are pros and cons with both a contract-to-hire and direct hire. Contract-to-hire is a good option for companies who would like “try before they buy” or to fill a position quickly with a contractor. In this scenario, we will find you a skilled contractor who can immediately fill a position for the short-term with the understanding that if it is a good fit for you and them, they can be hired as a salaried employee.
