Our client is an at-home health testing platform that provides screening and monitoring tests that are as accurate as traditional lab tests, yet easy enough for you to take at home and complete within a few minutes. With the goal of launching an office in Austin, Texas, and to match current demand, they are looking to add a Full-Stack (JavaScript) Engineer to the growing team.
We are looking for an API expert who is passionate about coding, comfortable working in an Agile environment, and embraces the opportunity to reshape traditional healthcare. The most ideal candidate should be strong in the following areas: API development (creating new APIs and integrating into existing APIs), AWS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, good testing practices, and experience testing their own code.
Job Responsibilities

Creating new APIs and integrate with existing APIs for all partners

Collaborating with Digital Platforms Architect teams to improve and build upon existing architecture

Debugging and creating fixes for existing architecture

Actioning support tickets in Jira, while also creating long term fixes

Write maintainable, testable, and performant software in collaboration with the existing teams

Participate in code review and perform extensive testing to ensure high-quality software

Research new technology and tools and share findings with the team

Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the team

Effectively contribute suggestions and new ideas to enhance performance and usability

Willingly take on other tasks as required
Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of API development experience including creating and integrating with existing APIs

Experience with Node.js

Experience working with AWS in a professional environment

Experience testing your own code

Ability to operate independently without significant oversight

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple project stakeholders
Preferred Requirements:
